Joints, generally speaking, are made up of two bones coming together, allowing your otherwise rigid skeleton to move.  For further information on the various types of joints in your body, please see the following link.

Problems with the joints can be caused by a variety of issues, including:

  • trauma / injury

  • repetitive movements

  • poor diet

  • lack of exercise

  • being overweight

  • arthritis

  • congenital condition

Chiropractic treatment aims to correct the underlying cause of joint dysfunction and reduce nerve impingement so that the joint can be restored to its normal range of motion.  Chiropractic treatment also helps to reduce muscle spasm and painful inflammation.
